Arduino : Easy Humidity Sensor

For my smart farming project, I need to find the way to read soil humidity. I came up with the easy solution using only 2 metal clips to do it. Let's see ...

Hardware:
Character LCD Module SC1602BSLB
Push Switch
2 Metal Clips
Arduino Uno board

1.Setup LCD module with Arduino board first. See detail here.

2. Attach 2 clips with wires then place them in the soil. Next connect them to Arduino as you see in schematic below.

3. Download sourcecode into the board and push the button to read humidity. Download Here

4. Pour water over the soil and push button to read again. The reading value should be changed.
